The integration is part of OpenAI's partnership with NPCI and Razorpay to enable UPI payments in chat.
It was announced at OpenAI DevDay 2025.
BigBasket is among the first Indian platforms in this pilot.
Global platforms like Booking.com, Canva, Coursera, Expedia, Figma, Spotify, and Zillow are already inside ChatGPT.

BigBasket's B2C arm Innovative Retail Concepts reported a turnover of Rs 7,673 crore in FY25, down 3% year-on-year.
Its B2B division Supermarket Grocery Supplies had a turnover of Rs 2,227 crore in FY25, down 7% year-on-year.
Innovative Retail Concepts' losses widened to Rs 1,851 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,267 crore in FY24.
BigBasket launched a quick commerce offering BB Now (10-minute delivery) to compete with Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart.
In June 2025, BigBasket trialled 10-minute food deliveries including Starbucks India and Qmin.
