The details
- Ather Energy unveiled the EL platform, its first new vehicle architecture since the Ather 450, at its third Community Day event in Bengaluru on 30 August 2025.
- The EL platform is designed for a new line of scooters with improved scalability and cost efficiency.
- Ather also introduced AtherStack 7.0, a software update with voice-enabled interaction using a large language model (LLM) trained for Indian dialects.
- AtherStack 7.0 features crash alerts, pothole alerts, theft-prevention tools, and remote-control functions.
- The update will roll out as an over-the-air (OTA) update in coming months and is backwards compatible with Rizta Z and Ather 450X up to Gen 3.
- Ather showcased a concept moto-scooter called Redux with aluminium frames and 3D-printed seats, not for immediate commercialisation.
