Ather Energy is launching a new variant of its 450S scooter called the 450S HR.
The 450S HR comes with a larger battery of 3.76 kWh (homologation shows 3.67 kWh).
The battery is a Nickel and Cobalt based Li-ion type.
The claimed range (AIS 040) is 156 km, which is 41 km more than the current 450S.
The true range estimate is around 110 km, about 20 km higher than the current 450S.
The motor is a 3-phase PMS by Mahle with peak power 5.4 kW (7.24 bhp) in Sports Mode.
Top speed is 80 km/h, reduced from 90 km/h on the current 450S/450X.
Riding modes include Eco, Smart Eco Mode, Ride, and Sports (no Warp Mode).

This launch expands Ather's entry-level lineup with a longer-range option.
It competes with the Ola S1X+ (4 kWh, Rs. 1.1 lakh) and Simple One (5 kWh, Rs. 1.45 lakh).
The 450S HR is expected to be priced around Rs. 1.4 lakh ex-showroom including subsidies in Karnataka.

The 450S HR has a 7-inch Deepview non-touch display with Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation.
Pro Packs can add up to Rs. 20,000 to the price.
The scooter dimensions are length 1837 mm, width 739 mm, height 1114 mm, wheelbase 1296 mm.
Gross vehicle weight is 243 kg.
