- Mobility unicorn Rapido has received a five-year cab aggregator licence from the Karnataka State Transport Authority under the Karnataka On-Demand Transportation Technology Aggregators Rules, 2016.
- The licence is valid until August 2031 and allows the platform to operate four-wheeler ride-hailing services within its home state.
- The company currently operates across 21 cities in Karnataka, including Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubballi-Dharwad, and Belagavi.
- Rapido has onboarded over 3.14 lakh captains [drivers] and serves more than 2.04 crore registered customers in the state.
- More than 69 lakh customers in Karnataka have booked cab rides through the mobile application.
- The company has also been inducted into the Karnataka government's Urban Mobility Mission to collaborate on transit infrastructure and technology integration.
