- MTG acquired PlaySimple in 2021 for over $360 Million and intends to remain the majority owner post-IPO.
- Lead managers for the issue include Axis Capital, JP Morgan India, and Morgan Stanley India.
- The listing will take place on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
- Allocation includes 50% for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), 35% for Retail investors, and 15% for Non-institutional investors.
The bigger picture
- This marks the second gaming company to go public in India after Nazara Technologies.
- Associate firm NODWIN Gaming is also preparing for its own initial public offering.
- PlaySimple claims to be the largest pureplay casual mobile games firm in India by FY25 revenue.
- Investors may view the OFS structure as a signal of promoter exit rather than growth funding.
