Groww adds 1 lakh active clients in September

- Groww is an online investing platform and India's biggest stock broker by number of active clients
- It added about 1.01 lakh active clients in September, reaching 1.34 crore and a 29.16% share of the market
- Zerodha and Angel One trail with roughly 68 lakh clients each, while Sahi grew fastest among the top 20 brokers at 11%
What happened
- Groww added 1,00,961 active clients in September.
- Its base is now 1.34 crore clients.
- Market share stands at 29.16%.
- Zerodha has 67.91 lakh clients, down 5,313.
- Angel One has 67.55 lakh, up 36,956.
Why it matters
- Total active clients across brokers rose only 0.35% to 4.61 crore.
- Sahi grew 11%, the fastest among top brokers.
- Upstox lost 10,343 clients.
