- Navin Chandani, President and Chief Business Officer (Issuing) at Pine Labs, is stepping down, effective 6 April 2026.
- His resignation letter is dated 14 February 2026 and addressed to chairman, managing director and CEO B Amrish Rau.
- Chandani spent over three years at Pine Labs, leading the issuing business Qwikcilver.
- He also held board roles in the US and Australia during his tenure.
- Before Pine Labs, Chandani was Managing Director and CEO at CRIF India, then Regional Managing Director for India and South Asia.
- Earlier, he served as Chief Business Officer and Chief Business Development Officer at BankBazaar, and spent over four years at Visa in senior director roles.
The bigger picture
- The resignation comes shortly after Pine Labs listed on public markets at a 9.5% premium, opening at Rs 242 per share against the IPO price of Rs 221.
- Shares were trading at Rs 153 at the end of the trading session, giving a market cap of around $1.9 billion.
- Pine Labs reported a profit of Rs 42 crore for Q3 FY26, with revenue up 24% year-on-year.
- The company is backed by Peak XV, a major investor.
